Just wanted to express mine and my family’s gratitude and thanks for everything regarding my dads funeral. You made a very difficult time so much easier, and going the extra mile to pick up my dads clothes when we couldn’t get there to bring them to you meant so much, especially to my mum. Please thank Gordon for us too, he was so lovely when he brought dad to the house and allowed us time to say our goodbyes, and of course to everyone else involved.
I really appreciate how well Gordon handled things and the support and guidance he gave me /us .A very difficult job carried out with professionalism and consideration too. Thanks again
I would just like to say thank you for getting everything right for us yesterday .You were all very professional but yet caring , considerate and understanding in what has been one of the most difficult times for our family .
I just wanted to say a massive thank you once again, yesterday was perfect in every way, just what mum would have wanted.
Dear Both,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note – from both my husband and I – to thank you for taking care of B*** this last couple of weeks or so, for being so discrete after the service, and for helping us to give him the sendoff he deserved. We genuinely believe that he would have been absolutely tickled pink with the service and his coffin, and would be very happy with both his final resting place and the knowledge that he will be going back to nature. I suppose we can now begin the process of grieving.
From the feedback we received, we understand that his guests were grateful that it wasn’t ‘depressing’, and B***’s sister said that she ‘enjoyed’ it. I think that a few people will be going away reconsidering the options available when the inevitable comes.
I remember having several conversations about natural burials with a good friend and former colleague who specialises in Death Studies (Professor Jenny Hockey – you may know her). When she talked about cardboard coffins and such like, I was unconvinced as to how that would work, and that people would never go for something like that. Having seen B***’s coffin, I stand totally corrected. It was absolutely beautiful and the quality of the reproductions superb. For people to have something to look at triggering memories whilst standing at the graveside was very comforting and I think it gave some people a lot of pleasure. “Look, he’s smiling at us”, “I remember his lovely curls”, “Oh, there’s my dad [B***’s own dad]”.
Excellent Service from Respect Funeral Services. Gordon and Alison are so lovely to work with. My sister and I are two young girls who lost their dad with no idea of how to arrange a funeral and Gordon and Alison made the whole thing so easy for us. They really cater to your needs and ensure you have all of the information you need throughout the whole process, and not just related to the funeral but also other areas to help you following the death of a loved one. I spoke to a couple of Funeral Directors and Respect were the friendliest and don’t make you feel like they are just taking your money, they really give a more personal service. Our dad wanted something short and sweet, and Gordon and Alison arranged exactly that. Perfect service.
Pauline, myself and the family would like to thank you, Gordon and your team for the way you handled D**** funeral on Friday. During the whole process, from initial contact just over two weeks ago, through to the burial on Friday, you acted with professionalism, courtesy and friendliness, making this emotional time a little easier to deal with.
Thank You

LAUGHTON PARK
If anyone has seen our beloved Cat lately or knows his whereabouts could you please contact the
office on 01427 612992.
He brings alot of joy to the visitors at the Park and also puts a smile on the face of mourners when
he attends funerals. We are so sad that we haven’t seen him for the last few weeks and we are led to believe that someone has taken him. He is an outdoor cat so will not fit into a home environment. He is well looked after by all our staff.
We do have him on camera being fed by a family a few weeks ago so if you are that family and are reading this please let us know if you have any further information.
