Respect have planted more than 1,350 Trees at Lincolnshire Burial Ground.

An eco-team planted the trees at Respect’s Woodland Green Burial Park, near Gainsborough.

Respect Green Burial have so far planted 1,350 trees in its Park area over the last few years in order to create the envisaged Woodland.  Any trees purchased that fail are replaced by Respect.  We plant twice a year – this can be a huge job and any willing helpers would be greatly appreciated at the time.

All the team plant their own trees when they start, and this week it was the turn of two new members, landscape gardener Guy Wressle and eco warden Dan Jubb.

“It’s great to be part of the tree planting programme, and I’m looking forward to seeing my tree when it’s fully grown,” said Mr Jubb.

The trees being planted are native species such as Ash, Hawthorn, Oak, Hornbeam, Sycamore, Birch, Beech and Cherry.

These trees are in addition to the trees chosen by families as memorials to mark their loved ones resting place.
