I would just like to say thank you for getting everything right for us yesterday .You were all very professional but yet caring , considerate and understanding in what has been one of the most difficult times for our family .
I just wanted to say a massive thank you once again, yesterday was perfect in every way, just what mum would have wanted.
Dear Both,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note – from both my husband and I – to thank you for taking care of B*** this last couple of weeks or so, for being so discrete after the service, and for helping us to give him the sendoff he deserved. We genuinely believe that he would have been absolutely tickled pink with the service and his coffin, and would be very happy with both his final resting place and the knowledge that he will be going back to nature. I suppose we can now begin the process of grieving.
From the feedback we received, we understand that his guests were grateful that it wasn’t ‘depressing’, and B***’s sister said that she ‘enjoyed’ it. I think that a few people will be going away reconsidering the options available when the inevitable comes.
I remember having several conversations about natural burials with a good friend and former colleague who specialises in Death Studies (Professor Jenny Hockey – you may know her). When she talked about cardboard coffins and such like, I was unconvinced as to how that would work, and that people would never go for something like that. Having seen B***’s coffin, I stand totally corrected. It was absolutely beautiful and the quality of the reproductions superb. For people to have something to look at triggering memories whilst standing at the graveside was very comforting and I think it gave some people a lot of pleasure. “Look, he’s smiling at us”, “I remember his lovely curls”, “Oh, there’s my dad [B***’s own dad]”.
Excellent Service from Respect Funeral Services. Gordon and Alison are so lovely to work with. My sister and I are two young girls who lost their dad with no idea of how to arrange a funeral and Gordon and Alison made the whole thing so easy for us. They really cater to your needs and ensure you have all of the information you need throughout the whole process, and not just related to the funeral but also other areas to help you following the death of a loved one. I spoke to a couple of Funeral Directors and Respect were the friendliest and don’t make you feel like they are just taking your money, they really give a more personal service. Our dad wanted something short and sweet, and Gordon and Alison arranged exactly that. Perfect service.
Pauline, myself and the family would like to thank you, Gordon and your team for the way you handled D**** funeral on Friday. During the whole process, from initial contact just over two weeks ago, through to the burial on Friday, you acted with professionalism, courtesy and friendliness, making this emotional time a little easier to deal with.
Thank You
Kind words, encouragement and appreciation of our team at this difficult time
Dear Gordon, Alison & family, I hope you are all well as can be during these strange & disturbing times. Since this virus struck-my thoughts have been with you & relatives who’ve lost family members. It’s almost a year now since we lost mum & I still remember so well how distraught & ill prepared I was on the day I spoke to you & how from that moment, you calmly helped, comforted & reassured me through such a painful event.I am relieved & fortunate my mum never got to hear about Covid 19 or suffer its effects-I know others aren’t so lucky & I hope you have strength to continue giving the same levels of care & comfort to those families that we received from you & your team.
With every best wish & continued sincere thanks SR

Thanks very much for today. I think we did Mum proud; if she was looking down she would have enjoyed the occasion. Thanks for all your efforts – you and your team.

Many many thanks for the care you have taken to ensure all went well for my husband burial . My daughters and I are extremely pleased where his resting place is, near his beloved Blyton . The peace and calm of the place is such a comfort to us and to know that good people like yourself and Gordon are the guardians.

On behalf of my family, I would just like to thank yourself, Alison and the rest of your team who helped to make my dad’s committal ceremony happen. I had no experience on these matters but everything was so well done and under the circumstances could not have been anymore appreciated. Thank you also for helping to find a celebrant to conduct the service, who did a wonderful job of capturing my dads persona in her words. You all made the day very special to my family and myself.
