A Poem for Great Granny

You were inspirational

You were one of a kind

Bless you great granny

You really did shine

 

You always made us laugh

You always made us smile

It’s going to be hard

Not seeing you for a while

 

We’ll love you forever

I hope you know how much

We would give anything now

Just to be in your touch

 

I hope I made you proud

’Cause that’s all I wanted to do

Letting go will be hard

But know that we miss you

 

You were a wonderful woman

Who did everything with care

Yet every time I saw you

You’d insult my hair!

 

Rest in peace now my Granny

I’m glad you’re at rest

I just want you to know

That you were the best.
